Have You Met Wes?
Introducing you to our latest hire…
Meet Wes Parker, our latest hire. He’s been working the phones (well, and texts and emails) you may have received lately. His job is to try and reconnect with everyone in our database. Once he gets you chatting and determines if you need anything, he knows his job is to hand you straight off to an agent as soon as possible.
Why do you need to know? Well, Wes is AI. And we like to be transparent.
Why did we bring him on? Our database has grown to nearly 6,000 people, and it’s growing faster than any of us can keep up with.
Word has clearly gotten out that Parkway Real Estate is small but mighty, and we’re grateful for that, but it also means people were starting to fall through the cracks. Not because we didn’t care, simply because there aren’t enough hours in the day. Wes fixes that.
Think of him like an administrative assistant for our whole team, that never forgets anything. He’s not your agent, he’s not a salesperson, and he’s definitely not running you through the buying or selling process. He’s simply doing a first check-in, seeing if you need us, and making sure the right person on our team knows the second you do.
Let’s be clear about something. Wes isn’t replacing anyone on our team. Not one agent, not one support staff member. He’s here to expand upon what our agents can already do, so they can move faster, catch more opportunities, and give clients an edge in this market. Think of it as empowering our team, not replacing it.
A few things Wes will never do: he won’t fill out or review paperwork (that’s legally binding stuff, so that stays with his humans, always), he can’t walk a property with you, he doesn’t operate with the gut feeling needed to create offer strategies, or negotiate on your behalf, and he’s not the one talking you off the ledge when a deal feels like it’s going sideways. That part is all us, and honestly, we love it too much to ever hand it off.
That’s by design. Literally. Everything Wes does is considered a “human in the loop” setup. He starts the conversation, and a person on our team is always the one who takes it from there. Real estate is being transformed by AI right now, and we’re leaning into that. There are still some things a computer will never be able to do. Reading a room during a negotiation, knowing when a client needs reassurance instead of information, standing beside you at the final walk-through and giving you that congratulations embrace. That milestone, and the human part of this business, could never be replaced. We built Wes around that idea on purpose.
One more thing. If you’re a friend, family member, or past client of ours, you may be noted in a way that Wes won’t be reaching out to you at all. However, it’s a work in progress to clean things up. Since we already have a relationship, we’d rather just pick up the phone ourselves, though you may still hear from him if we haven’t let him know this yet.
So if Wes reaches out, say hello back. If you ask him to dinner and drinks, I’m sorry, he’ll have to politely decline because he just doesn’t have time. He’s too busy making sure we get to clients faster when it matters most.
