For the month of September , let’s find out and get to know more of Katie Wright
When did you get your real estate license?
What is your favorite real estate related quote?
“When one door closes, buy another one and open it yourself.”
What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done?
When I think about daring, I think about someone climbing the side of a skyscraper or jumping out of a plane. I’m terrified of heights so I wouldn’t do either of those. I guess you could say I’m not super daring. I have jumped off a bridge, but only because everyone else was (sorry Mom).
Who is your greatest inspiration?
Honestly, I think my son is my greatest inspiration. Knowing that he looks to me to help navigate him through life, it makes me want to be the best person I can so he will learn to be the best person he can be.
What is your favorite holiday?
Thanksgiving! I love the holiday season and getting together with family and friends without the added stress of gift giving. Great food, great people, football and wine!
What is your biggest fear?
Being stuck someplace high up in a tiny space. Tall ferris wheels are the worst!
What makes you laugh the most?
This is totally cliché and he’s going to laugh at me for saying it, but my husband Brett definitely makes me laugh the most. Followed closely by my son who, big surprise, is just like his dad! They both know how to get me to not take things so seriously.
Which would you rather do: wash dishes, mow the lawn, clean the bathroom, or vacuum the house?
None of the above! But, if I have to pick one it would probably be vacuum the house. Between kids and dogs there’s a lot that ends up on the floors so the three seconds of clean after a vacuum is pretty satisfying.
If money was no object, what would you do all day?
Rescue dogs! I’ve had dogs my whole life and personally have rescued three of the best dogs from down south. There’s nothing more upsetting than seeing dogs be mistreated or abused. If money was no object I would set up a sanctuary and rescue them all.
Why Parkway Real Estate?
I chose Parkway because I really believe in Danielle and her approach to Real Estate. I started out with one of the big-name firms initially, but I didn’t like feeling like just another agent on the list. I wanted to help people find the right home and not just “make a sale”. I’ve known Danielle personally for some years now so when I sat down to talk to her about moving over to Parkway she really made me feel at home. She wasn’t looking for people to make sales, she was looking for people who cared about what they were doing. Parkway carries a sense of pride and community. It’s more like a family than anything.
